Born from the spirit of camaraderie and community, the VMNA originated as a ladies' club conceived by the founding members of our neighborhood. Their vision was simple yet profound: to weave a sense of family among neighbors, transforming strangers into friends and houses into homes. Their dedication established the enduring traditions that define our community's character and strengthen our bonds today.

VMNA remains the heart of this evolution, a testament to the founders' aspirations, continuing to be the connective tissue that unites our diverse community. As we look ahead, your involvement is crucial in ensuring that our neighborhood maintains its cherished warmth and vibrancy and thrives for generations to come.

Our Traditions

The inception of Village Mill's traditions is deeply rooted in the neighborhood's early days when the community predominantly consisted of residents new to the area, many of whom were transplants from different locations. This unique blend of individuals brought a mosaic of cultural backgrounds and a deep-seated desire to recreate the familiar traditions of their former homes.

Motivated by a collective nostalgia and a longing to establish a sense of belonging, these early residents laid the groundwork for what would become long-standing community traditions. These practices, instituted to create a familial atmosphere among new neighbors, have been maintained and celebrated, contributing to the strong sense of community identity we cherish today. 

We are more than just an association; we are the custodians of Village Mill's legacy. 

Events like the Strawberry & Pumpkin Festival and the Christmas Eve Luminaries transcend mere gatherings, embodying our collective identity and enriching our shared experience.

Our Contributions

VMNA is instrumental in fostering a connected, secure, and vibrant community. Through your support, we sustain the biennial directory, monthly newsletters, and an active neighborhood watch, enhancing communication and safety. Our efforts, funded directly by your contributions, extend to beautifying our entrances and maintaining the communal spaces. The Sunshine Committee embodies our ethos, warmly welcoming new residents and celebrating significant life milestones, ensuring everyone feels at home.
